Objectives

In this Mental Health Awareness course, we aim to increase your understanding of common mental health conditions and of your own mental health, including how or when it might suffer, and what you can do about it.

Outcomes

Session 1 - What is mental health, stigma and discrimination.

Session 2 - The key legislation applicable to mental health including the Equality Act 2010

Session 3 - The common types of mental health problems including: Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Panic attacks, Depression, Phobias, Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia and Suicide

Session 4 - Ways in which you can manage your own mental health and how you can support others with their mental health
